01 Controller and scope
The controller for data processed by the publisher of Kapibara Run is Lemric Dominik Łabudziński. For game support, data or privacy questions, contact support@lemric.com. This policy covers the iOS, iPadOS and macOS app, this website and communications with the publisher. The app connects only to the fixed Lemric game server; players cannot change its address or trusted key.
02 Data on your device
The game saves language, nickname, sound and music volume, effects and haptics preferences locally. The server address and its trusted public key are supplied with the app. Legacy saved server overrides are removed when this version starts. Match data and the room rejoin token are held in app memory. The game requires no account and has no ads, analytics SDKs or chat. It does not request access to contacts, photos, microphone or location.
03 Bluetooth and nearby play
Bluetooth permission is used to discover a host and exchange room data. Participants exchange a room code, nickname, device platform, temporary identifiers, readiness and gameplay data. Your nickname is visible to room participants; use one that does not reveal your identity. This mode does not require an internet game server.
04 Server checks and online play
While active in the menu or practice mode, the app automatically checks the fixed Lemric server approximately every 30 seconds. Automatic checks do not start during Bluetooth or online sessions. A check started before entering a session may still complete. A check contains a temporary connection identifier, public key and random technical value. The server and network infrastructure see the source IP address and port. A check does not contain a nickname or match data.
Online play sends your nickname, device platform, room code, temporary identifiers and rejoin token, control commands and match state to the Lemric server. These data connect players, run matches, restore connections and limit abuse. Room participants receive player and match information. Gameplay transmission uses encryption and a trusted server public key; the availability check itself is a technical exchange before an encrypted session is established.
05 Diagnostics you choose to share
A diagnostic file is exported only at your request. It can contain the rules profile, seed, configuration and player nicknames, identifiers, states, events and gameplay commands. Exporting does not automatically send it to the publisher. You choose its destination and recipient. Inspect the file before sharing it.
06 Support correspondence
When you email support, we receive your email address, message and any materials you voluntarily attach, such as a bug description or diagnostics. We use them to handle the issue and fix problems. This does not subscribe you to marketing. Send only information needed for your request.
07 Purposes and legal bases
Where GDPR applies, data necessary to deliver requested gameplay or support are processed to perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Security, abuse prevention, technical service availability and the defence of claims rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Legal obligations rely on Article 6(1)(c). Where a particular processing activity requires consent, Article 6(1)(a) applies; you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
08 Recipients, hosting and external services
Recipients include your room participants, the Lemric game server operator and infrastructure providers needed for the game server and email. We require providers processing data on our behalf to protect it consistently with this policy and to undertake appropriate contractual obligations. We do not sell data or share it with advertising networks.
This website is intended for GitHub Pages hosting. Once published, GitHub processes technical visit data, including IP addresses, under its privacy statement. This website adds no cookies, analytics or tracking pixels. Fonts are hosted with the site. If you choose a colour theme, that preference is stored only in your browser’s local storage; it is not sent to the publisher. The game server is separate from website hosting; an operator’s infrastructure may include security logs. Contact us for provider details and actual infrastructure retention.
Apple handles app distribution, any payments and its own diagnostic services under Apple’s privacy policy and your device settings. Providers outside the EEA may involve transfers outside the EEA; when we arrange such transfers, we use a basis required by law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
09 Retention and deletion
Local preferences remain on your device until changed or the app’s data are removed. On iOS/iPadOS, use Delete App rather than offloading while keeping its data. Exported files remain in your chosen location and must be deleted separately.
The supplied game server holds rooms, nicknames, identifiers and match state in memory, without permanent match archives or accounts. Room data are removed when the room closes or expires, or when the server restarts. Data may remain in an active room for its lifetime; leaving does not immediately remove all match state. The client rejoin token is kept in session memory. Abuse prevention uses a bounded in-memory table of IP addresses. Entries may remain for the server process lifetime; older entries are cleaned up when the address-count threshold is exceeded, and a restart removes the entire table. It is not a visit history. Infrastructure log retention depends on the operator and is separate from game server memory.
We retain correspondence and submitted materials for the time needed to resolve the request and meet any legal obligations or defend claims. You may request deletion or retention details by email. Once the purpose ends, data are deleted or anonymised, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10 Your choices and rights
You can practice without internet, end a network session and revoke Bluetooth permission in system settings. Choosing practice alone does not disable automatic availability checks when your device has internet. Quitting the app stops its requests. You need not export diagnostics or provide your real name. See Your privacy choices for instructions.
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email us; we may request information necessary to verify your entitlement to the data. A nickname alone may not uniquely identify a person. You may complain to the competent supervisory authority; in Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office. We do not use advertising profiling or automated decisions with legal effects on players.
11 Younger players and policy changes
The game does not require a date of birth, account or real name. Younger players should use nicknames and ask a guardian for help before sending a support request or diagnostics. This statement does not claim App Store Kids Category membership. If we receive unnecessary data about a child, we will take steps to remove it.
We publish the current policy at this address with its update date. Material changes to processing are described before introduction and consent is obtained where required.
